Leanne Liaw Receives Two Awards

We are thrilled to congratulate Leanne Liaw, an MS student in Dr. Telese’s lab, on receiving two awards this fall.

Leanne was honored with the 2026 UC San Diego Student Centeredness Award, a campus-wide honor recognizing outstanding dedication to student success, empowerment, advocacy, and inclusion. She was the only student recognized on campus this year.

Leanne also received the competitive 2026 Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Trainee Professional Development Award, which provides travel support to attend the SfN annual meeting and present a research poster.
